Lachlan Aboriginal Agriculture & NRM Expo The 2008 inagrual Lachlan Aboriginal Agricultural and Natural Resource Management Employment Expos. These Employment Expos have been developed through a funded partnership with the Department of Agricultural, Fishing and Forestry (DAFF) and the Lachlan Aboriginal Natural Resource Management Corporation (LANRMG). The selected venues and dates for the expos will be the 26th March in Cowra and the 28th March at Condobolin. The expos will provide Aboriginal people with an insight into both Agriculture and Natural Resource Management industries. The LANRMG are currently looking for organisations to support these events by holding static displays that promote their organisation and provide Aboriginal people with information of employment opportunities in those respective industries. The LANRMG will provide transport to Aboriginal people in communities around both locations with the expectation of over 300 people visiting the events over the 2 days. The events will also have several guest speakers both Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal speaking on Aboriginal employment issues and opportunities. These events will be free of charge to all Agricultural and Natural Resource Management related industries, with tables and chairs supplied on request. Throughout the day there will be hot and cold food available at a small cost. We currently have Aboriginal people attending the expos from the following communities Goulburn, Yass, Gunning, Blayney, Orange, Canowindra, Young, Boorowa, Cowra, Forbes, Parkes, West Wyalong, Condobolin, Lake Cargelligo, Hillston, Hay, Ivanhoe and Balranald.
